Deep Cove Outdoor Education Trust provides a base for schools and educational groups undertaking outdoor education in the Doubtful Sound area. The Trust supports learning in a remote and unique natural environment, with access by boat across Lake Manapouri and over the Wilmot Pass.
The facility offers hostel-style accommodation for school groups and serves as a launch point for exploring the surrounding bush, waterways, and alpine setting. It is used by schools as part of their self-run outdoor education programmes.
