Profile
Mamaku Point offers a unique school camp experience in a renovated former Forestry Service education centre that has been welcoming school groups since reopening in 2018. The facility features modern kitchen facilities, a cosy lounge area, shower and bathroom blocks, accommodating up to 38 students across 14 bunks in the original building and a newer 24-person main bunkhouse, with additional tenting space available for larger groups of up to 40. Located on a scenic reserve, the camp provides an ideal base for educational programs and outdoor activities, with the added convenience of a 12-seater 4WD van available for group transport between Oban and the camp site.
