Profile
Beulah Acres is a Christian retreat and events centre located just north of Feilding in Cheltenham. Set on 22 acres of farmland and mature gardens, it provides schools with a unique opportunity to combine outdoor education with hands-on experiences in a peaceful rural environment. The property includes a late-19th century homestead villa, extensive gardens, and a retreat centre built in the 1980s, creating a welcoming base for group activities.
Schools visiting Beulah Acres can enjoy a wide range of experiences designed to engage students with both nature and practical skills. On site, groups can explore garden walks and a short bush walk with native planting, ideal for environmental studies or quiet reflection. The working farm setting allows students to take part in supervised activities such as milking cows, feeding chickens, and collecting eggs, helping them understand farm life in a safe and interactive way. Tractor-trailer rides around the property offer another popular option for group learning.
For recreation, Beulah Acres provides a swimming pool (summer only, with adult supervision), play equipment including swings, slides, and a trampoline, as well as archery sessions by prior arrangement for students aged five and up. Indoors, groups can use facilities for table tennis, badminton, air hockey, Connect-4, and board games. A fire pit and BBQ area are available depending on the season, adding to the community feel of the camp.
Beyond the property, schools can also access nearby attractions such as Cheltenham playground, Mt Lees Homestead, Feilding parks and playgrounds, museums, and markets, expanding the learning experience beyond the camp itself.
With its combination of rural setting, practical activities, and recreational facilities, Beulah Acres provides schools with a versatile venue for retreats, camps, and education outside the classroom.
