HolyGround Parua Bay is a community-run camp overlooking the Whangārei Harbour, offering a peaceful setting for school groups. The site includes cabins, a large hall, kitchen facilities, and open grounds surrounded by native bush. Schools can use the space for their own programmes or take advantage of the natural surroundings for learning and reflection. Phenomenal experience camping here for 7 days, amazing utilities. Kitchen could do with a really good deep clean though. Really enjoyed my experience, fish were biting so be sure to take your rod ! Locals were lovely, next door neighbors dog regularly visits the camp ground so if you're not dog friendly, heads up.

Absolutely awsome venue. Have been here for school and church camp. Beautiful, neat and well kept.
Excellent camp facilities with a "big" house that has bunk rooms, a commercial kitchen, amenities block, BBQ, trestle table eating area and a large hall. Large grass area for camping on, pebble beach across the road, a wharf a few minutes walk away and a 4 square conveniance store 3 minutes drive away. The camp in Christian based but welcome anybody. 10 mins drive to Oceans beach -an open surf beach and 15 mins drive to McGregors bay -a well shelteted sandy bay that is great for swimming, snorkelling/diving and fishing from the beach at low tide or from the rocks any tide.
