Get a local fossil lesson. We have many great fossils from the area we are happy to show off. Go out fossil hunting (beach is walking distance). You will find rocks with shells and have a chance at shark teeth, Moa (in stone) and a wide range of sea life. Discuss the geographically useful cliffs. Visit many local features like busy park, Victoria and Virginia lake, the museum and art gallery. Whanganui has a lot of offer.

It would be rude not to review our own campground which we run with friends. Lots of people know and love our iconic Kiwiana camp by the sea offering fishing, fossil hunting, and relaxation. Improving all the time come and see what is to love.
